Don't ask me why they're all guys... >_>, but I rarely liked a female character deeply enough to cosplay them...yet.. o_o

Random Strange Facts-

Why 'BlueMana'?- I created this name from my favorite color, Blue, and from Mana, who is the leader and guitarist in the j-rock/visual-kei band, Malice Mizer. However, he is now in a newer band called Moi dix Mois. Mana is very well known for his very feminine appearance and attire. He could easily be mistaken for a girl, because not only does he look feminine, but he also wears makeup and lipstick and feminine clothing to top it off. XD But I think all of that is mostly done for the "visual" aspect for when he performs, does photoshoots, media appearances. XD His "signature" is the feminine looking member of the band who always has the blue hair, blue-colored outfits, and blue lipstick, which is what really inspired the name 'BlueMana.'

Currently, Mana's image has changed quite a bit and can be found wearing less feminine and dressy clothes and more simple and elegant blacks. He used to always be the band member who has the most eyecatching look and was the most mysterious, since he rarely ever talks in public or during interviews and lives, mostly due to him thinking his voice is too deep. He resembles the porcelain doll in appearance and the way he doesn't speak. ^_^ I've always found him to be alluring and beautiful, so I've always admired him ever since I saw him more and more. He has also popularized the 'Gothic Lolita' fashion in Japan and has his own clothing line of this style of clothing. And not only is he talented in fashion, but his guitar skills are very admirable as well. The music he has created in his bands has always interested me and will always be one of my personal favorites.

I feel a connection with Mana somehow, because not only does he have the same sign as me, but I also used to rarely ever talk as well, so I could understand of some of the things he may have gone through. He also likes video games and cooking, which is something I'm really interested in at the moment (gotta learn how to cook ^_^). He also comes off as someone very mysterious and somewhat intriguing at the same time, which might also describe myself sometimes. I think Mana will always be one of my favorite j-rock artists and his image will always be unique and unlike any other. In-Depth- To go into more detail about myself, I was born in the US and am of Asian descent (that's all I can say ^_~), but I tend to think that I'm very Americanized in the way I act, so I don't really act like most Asians do (if that makes sense) o_O. Because of that, I don't like to be grouped or stereotyped, because some people only identify someone by those kind of "mainstream labels," (which I think is just nonsense), regardless of the facts. I also don't like to follow the crowd, not because I want to be different, but because I like following my own interests and beliefs. Usually in school, I tend to be more independent rather than to stick with a group, but I always enjoy company with others. ^_^ I tend to be more serious when working, but more let loose (and maybe even silly) when I'm with friends. I also think that I'm too tall and always wanted to be a bit shorter, but I guess there's really not much I can do about that. ^_^;

In person, I may be quiet at times or keep to myself, because I'm sometimes afraid of opening up to people who I just met. Maybe it's the feeling of being rejected by others that causes this habit, but I'm gradually growing out of it. But when I really get to know someone, I will open up and may even act silly with them. XD I love to laugh and have fun with friends, so I enjoy it when I get to share similar interests with others and talk about things we can relate to, especially anime-related things. XD I have always had an inner drive that motivates me to do something more than I'm doing now, like doing cosplay (XD) or doing acting or voice acting in some shape or form (I think it's a lot of fun XD). I have always seen many people cosplay and do funny skits at anime conventions, so it has also interested and even inspired me to want to do my own. However, I never seem to get the chance to, but it would be nice if one day I get to do some of these with someone who also have an equal interest in anime, gaming and cosplay. I guess you can say it's a little "dream" of mine. ^_^

In terms of appearance, I'm lean and consider myself taller than most of my friends. I have layered dark shoulder-length hair (but currently trying to grow them out) and may tend to get my hair highlighted, because I think black hair is too plain on me. >_< Sometimes I may switch between wearing contacts and glasses, but currently I would be wearing glasses, because contacts can be a real pain. >_< My skin is pretty light and I hope to keep it that way, because I personally don't like getting tanned. XD I'm also fond of exercise and maybe dancing (not that I am good at it >_>). I have taken Tae Kwon Do for about a year (because my friend introduced me to it) and got to the orange belt, but it has proven to be a little too much for me and quite pricey, so I decided that I shouldn't continue... Perhaps sparring isn't my box of chocolates and I don't prefer to challenge others in that sort of fashion, because it's just not my style #_# (I'm a lover, not a fighter, XD I'm being silly XD).

For hobbies and interests, I do like watching random comedies and movies, especially anything with romance in it. XD I also like action movies, especially ones that involve sword fighting or martial arts. But sometimes I just can't help but love some of the older "classic" movies, with the "out-dated" music and low-budget special effects. XD They just don't make stuff like that anymore. XD Once in a while, I also enjoy the "boy-targeted" shows too, like mecha related or shounen-based shows with more action-based storylines. And of course I just can't live without anime, because it probably consumes more than 50% of my life, or so it seems like it. >_> I think it's in my blood now. XD I also have an obsession with bishounen characters in almost anything I watch or play, so if I see an appealing character, I will instantly take an interest in it. XD I guess I can be a real fangirl too, but try not to show it too much... ^_~;
