Some facts about this title-
* This series has been made into a live-action drama series called Princess Princess D, but it's handled much differently than the anime. Such changes include Mikoto (one of the three Princesses) being the protagonist of the story instead of Tooru and the story being different from the original manga in which there is a new character rivaling against the three Princesses.

My Thoughts:
I find the artwork of this series very appealing, especially the character designs, which happens to be one of my favorites. The official anime illustrations especially are rich and intricate in detail that each one is eye candy. XD However, in anime itself, the animation is slightly different in how the outlining is less bold and not as contrasted in color, making it have more of a pastel-like appearance, but it still keeps to the original designs. The story in this series is on the lighthearted side and contains a lot of cute and silly humor. The music ranges from classical to cute and gentle tunes, so it's definitely a fun show to relax and enjoy. ^_^
This series has a very funny storyline in how the main character is inevitably "bribed" into being this all-boys school's "Princesses," because of his beauty. And to be a "Princess" means dressing in feminine outfits (usually in maid, nurse, and lolita dresses) that will encourage, nurture and motivate the students in the all-boys school. They bring the male students something to look forward to each day and a reason for trying harder at what they do. Since it also improves their working performances as well as the atmosphere in the school, the administration has taken this into consideration and made it acceptable as a system, making this a very unusual school. XD As for the Shounen-ai content in this series, it's not as strong as most would think it would have. The only reference is the apparent male students "praising" these pretty boys dressing as girls and some hinting of "feelings" developing between certain characters (and of course some possible fanservice scenes). I especially love the ending sequence, where it shows the main possibly "shounen-ai pair" of the series. I think the real beauty of the artwork is mostly potrayed here, because of how stunning the visuals are. But overall, mostly all the content is appropriate for any age as long as you can handle attractive boys cross-dressing as girls or two boys being "close" to one another. ^_~
This is definitely a lighthearted series for the shounen-ai fans or for any fan who enjoys seeing pretty boys dressing as girls. XD The scenes can be very funny to just plain silly at times, especially the costume designer who is just plain hyper, but downright hilarious XD. The friendliness of the characters in the school setting makes this show enjoyable in an easygoing way. At some points later on there will be some more serious drama, which gives this series more depth. But there are no intense mature themes, so this can be enjoyed by fans of any age.
My Final Opinion:
A fun and enjoyable series that any fan of shounen-ai or bishounen characters would like! This series is filled with great comedy, drama, and cross-dressing humor!
